Anyone ever stayed at Paradise Point in San Diego, Ca?

I stayed there and toured the property for an upcoming meeting we are having for my work. I thought it was a fantastic resort. I would rate it at about 3.5 stars out of 5. The pool and grounds were beautiful. It was really nice to walk on the beach. I did see some garbage though. They need to get their grounds crew out there.
They put me in an upgraded room since I was checking out the resort. It was beach front with a fireplace. I really liked it, but when they showed me the other rooms, they weren't as nice. The furniture seemed a little outdated. All the rooms are "casita" style with direct outdoor access. So, make sure to keep your windows closed.
One thing that got me mad was that I was there by myself, ordered ONE beer at the restaurant at 5PM with dinner and the guy made me go back for my ID. I am 32, it's not like I was with a huge group of kids. My room was really from the restaurant. So, if you have teenagers, that may be a good thing for you to know they are strict with their policies.
We ended up selecting another property, because it's an executive meeting, but if I would go back to San Diego on a pleasure trip, I would definitly stay there. You really feel like you are away from the city on an island. It's very close, but feels like you are in a tropical paradise. Make sure to check out the sharks in the pond by the restaurant, too.
