Going to the Art Laboe concert on sat Feb 17 at the Ipay one center known as the San Diego arena, I live near long beach and I don’t want to drive back. Just need a place to stay for 2 people any suggestions?

There are a ton of motels close to Sports Arena... sorry now it's the iPayOne Cetner.

Two that are right across the street:

Holiday Inn Mission Bay/Sea Wd
3950 Jupiter St, San Diego, California
(888) 400-9714

Travelodge Sea World Sports
3350 Kemper St, San Diego, CA
(619) 223-3395

I drive by that Holiday Inn all the time and it looks really nice, so I'd try and get a room there.

But if you go to google maps, and click the "Find Business" tab, just type in Motels, Sports Arena Boulevard and you'll get a list of like a dozen in the area.

Have fun at the show!

There are a couple of websites that should help you out.

Hotel.com
Priceline.com
tripadvisor.com
Rentalo.com

Hotel.com often gets ‘left over’ rooms for a cheaper price than some of the other websites. Priceline.com you can sometimes get a good deal by naming your price but this can be ‘risky’ and doesn’t give you the option for comparison shopping. But be sure to cross reference whatever hotel you use with tripadvisor.com as there are often customer reviews that can steer you away from a bad experience & neighborhood.

Another option is vacation rentals. That time of year you might find a great deal because there won’t be high demand. You can check out rentalo.com for great deals on vacation rentals. I would recommend to fill out the inquiry form as this gives owners/managers in the area to bid on your business - giving you a better deal.

One last tip. If you do decide to go with a rental - don’t be afraid to email the owner and see if they can give you a ‘better’ deal than they advertise. If they do not have the room booked sometimes they will offer you a better deal just to have the room filled.

There are so many hotels in San Diego. Some of the best deals are on weekends when business folks have gone home.

The area around Hotel Circle often has super deals and is centrally located.

The Old Town Inn on Pacfic Coast Hwy. is about a mile from the Sports Arena, great place, from $55, very well kept and clean, w/ pool and nice breakfast included. I have had family and friends there and they always like it.
