I'm moving to Dallas from Mississippi in January to live with my boyfriend. We want to buy a house next year and I'm wondering which suburbs to look into. He works downtown, so we don't want anything more than a half hour commute. I have a four year old daughter, so the school system has to be good. He wants to stay downtown (he lives right above mockingbird now), but I worry that the house prices are too high. Any suggestions about good suburbs or possibly negating my worries? Any help would be appreciated, and please be as detailed as possible.

Soon after I finish college I plan on moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth or Houston area and I will have a degree in both video production and graphic design. I heard that the job market in these two fields in the Dallas area is VERY competitive is that true? Does Houston have a big job market in these fields as well? Should I drive or fly to Dallas?
I am moving to Dallas TX next week. The drive from where I am is 23 hours. Should I rent a truck and towe my car or should I ship it and fly. Shipping it will be around $1,324.00 and the flight ticket is $376.00 whereas renting a truck should be $200. Or should I just drive my car?

Please help for those of you who have traveled and driven.

My husband and I, and our friends (also husband & wife) are going out on Saturday night, and are looking for something fun to do. We usually go to Hyenas on Sundance Square, but we've seen the comedian that's there this weekend already. We aren't really into going to bars/clubs, other than entertainment. What else is going on? What are some restaurants you recommend? Help me plan a fun (not too expensive) night out away from our kids!
