i want a good airline not cheap and tacky

Your best bet will be American Airlines. The airline is based in Ft. Worth, Texas and offers many flights to/from many parts of the world into beautiful Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW).
Southwest Airlines, home based in Dallas, has a limited number of non-stop choices in/out of Dallas Love Field. Due to federal law, Southwest can only offer non-stop service to a small amount of destinations. However, they can offer connecting service to almost all of their destinations from Love Field. Coming from anywhere outside of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas will require a connecting flight in one of those states.
I personally consider the service on both of these airlines to be average to decent. American would be considered the "less tacky" of the two. Southwest is known for being a very informal, leisure airline, while American tends to cater to the business traveler.

Well, if you want to land in the smaller and less crowded of the two airports, I would recommend Southwest Airlines (which I prefer and is less expensive since it's not assigned seats...first come first serve on seats - the sell the amount of seats, and then when you check in you will be assigned a letter on which your group will be boarded)
But, if you want a flight with movies on long flights and one that has first class, American is good. I would not pick Delta Airlines because they are known for delays and for losing luggage.

American Airlines has a HUGE airport in Dallas...It's like the size of a city...I've only flown with them twice, but they seemed pretty good...not too expensive, but the planes were very nice.

American Airlines is based at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport, and they are consistently excellent.

Dallas-Forth Worth is one of American Airlines' main hubs. Depending upon where it is you are flying from, with American you should be able to choose from many flight possibilities.

American Airlines has the most flights to choose from. They have a good reputation as well.

You should probably go with American, Southwest is cheaper, but their service is crap, and definetly don't fly southwest if you don't like tacky!!! Plus, American flys out of DFW which is A LOT nicer than Lovefield, but that's just a sidenote. good luck!!!
