Me and my girlfriend are heading there Saturday for a concert and we would like to spend the day there and I was wondering what is there to do in the town?

Well it depends on your interests of course but I will give you a few suggestions that you can google and see which one fits your own likes. Welcome to Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Zoo
Sundance Square is downtown. (There are all kinds of restuarants, clubs, shopping, movie theaters and decorations for Christmas at this time of year. I like Texas De Brazil to eat. Its expensive but delicious. Go hungry. It's a buffet but worth every penny.)
I have heard Pete's Piano Bar is nice.
City Streets is a club downtown as well as The Library.
Fort Worth Water Gardens (downtown)
Fort Worth Botanical Gardens
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. (Includes Omni/Imax theater and planitarium.)
Joe T Garcia's is a great mexican restuarant down in the stockyards area. Its served family style and is gorgous on the patio by the pool (weather permitting).
Kimball Art Museum
You could do a walk or bike ride along the trails of the Trinity River and see lots of the things above. Trinity Park has a place for picnic/playground etc. (weather permitting of course).

Great list above me. The only thing I could add is check for the fat stock show when you are in town, and you could get BBQ at railhead and go home with a "life is too short to live in Dallas" t-shirt

Sundance Square in downtown is really nice. go to www.sundancesquare.com. There are great restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries. There are street artist and musicians. Its awesome.

go 2 the stockyards or to the zoo n museum the childrens musuem is fun 2!
