How long should we accept this roadkill smell of the air, which is appearing pretty often. Why is that ? I moved in Des Plaines 3 years ago and the smell is so strong and annoying. What's going on ? How many years should we put up with this smell ? Maybe some older resident can tell me what's going on..In Niles and Skokie it's the same smell.....

ok, my friends and I are going to Chicago's Warped Tour this year. We need to find a place preferrably in or near the venue's city (Tinley Park, IL) that rents to 18-year olds.
-pluses are continental breakfasts, safe neighborhoods, on the cheaper side, but we're willing to work with anything. Please let me know if you have any info that will help us. post here (for points), but e-mail me also. (Jamie @Cleven.com) no spaces.
Thanks.

I was on the brown line train going toward Kimball on Tuesday February 6, 2007 in between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.--I saw this man will dark hair and brown eyes---small but sensual lips--with a great voice--his eyes were so intriguing to me----he had on a book bag with boots and a coat--I was wearing a silver coat with a purple scarf--He was talking with two friends one of them missed their stop at Montrose and got off a stop later---Then my mystery man got off at Western--he even smiled at me---If you are out there let me know---------I think I am in love--------

I am moving the end of April to Chicago from Atlanta. I am looking on sites for apartments, I would love to stay downtown or near the lake, but all the apartments are pretty expensive. Can someone please tell me names of areas that are right outside of downtown? For example, I see there are places like Wicker Park, Lincoln park..etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I need to do some laundry during a 24 hour layover at O'Hare this weekend and I have too much to send to the laundry at the hotel (too expensive). Does anyone know if there is a laundermat near O'Hare? If you do, please tell me where and if you could give me some landmarks that would be great. I am thinking there must be something down by the Target store behind where rental cars are dropped off. Thanks in advance :)

What are some good places to eat in Chicago with my dad and sister? Perhaps some sort of steak place. We don't want a place that will be crawling with tourists, noisy, or overly expensive.
