I just got a job with U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana which is more south of downtown Chicago...but I heard that Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville are the places to be for a 23 year old straight college grad who wants to booze, find hott chicks, and enjoy the nightlife. Problem is that they are north of Chicago which makes the commute to Gary a pain in the u know what. I was wondering if South Chicago had any hott spots for nightlife and what areas would they be in??? Also, which place is better in your opinion, north or south and why? All advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Where would you rather live given the following money scenario??? 35000 in pittsburgh, pa or 50,000 living near chicago (wrigleyville/lincoln park)..figure pittsburgh rent to be about 500 month and chicago area to be about 700.

Okay, I'm a 23 year old college grad who just got a sweet job with U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana. Knowing that Gary is kinda ghetto and I would like to live near the nightlife, hott chicks, bars, restaurants, etc, near Chicago. From the research I've done on here, it seems Wrigleyville and Lincoln Park are the hot spots to live. Are these areas near all the bars and nightlife or what? Also, can I park anywhere with my car/how hard is it to find parking? Finally, how long will my commute to U.S. steel be to Gary, Indiana. Thanks.

We'll be in Chicago for about 3 days in July for the first time. We want to maximize our time there. We'll mainly be in the downtown area. What are the best restaurants (all prices ranges- upto $30 per person), museums/sights to see, locals favorite spots, and shopping areas. Where's the best pizza at?

Tips about Chicago and getting around.

I am moving to Chicago and would like to rent a loft (where the bedroom is upstairs) instead of a regular one bedroom apartment. But I have only found a few searching sites like forrent.com, rent.com etc.

Does anyone actually know a building with lofts in chicago? From knowing someone who lives there etc. It would be greatly appreciated
