What's up with the horrrible smell in the air in Des Plaines/Illinois ? Pretty often, the air it's awful.

How long should we accept this roadkill smell of the air, which is appearing pretty often.Why is that ? I moved in Des Plaines 3 years ago and the smell is so strong and annoying.What's going on ? How many years should we put up with this smell ? Maybe some older resident can tell me what's going on..In Niles and Skokie it's the same smell.....

It's the garbage dump and where the gasses burn. If you drive by at night you'll see a fire. Not a huge one but a long, big stove pipe with a big blue flame coming out at the top.
