They have designated parking. I usually end up at soldier field. It's around 10 bucks for the whole day (they might have raised the price this year, I haven't gone yet). They have a free shuttle to take you from the parking to the auto show. It runs every couple of minutes. If you are going to drive, I highly recommend the parking designated for the auto show.

They don't list prices, but if I remember it's about $10 or so. And if you're going to the auto show you have to park in one of the outside lots. So keep that in mind. You'll want to get there earlier in the day so that you don't have to park that far away from the building, especially if it's cold. It can be a pretty long walk. I did it last year and it kinda sucked. They do have trolley buses, however, that take people from the various lots to the building, but not sure how often they run.

Yes. Usually an arm. Everything in Chicago costs to park. You're lucky to get off with $10.00.
