Depends what you are looking for in your college experience.

For academics it is above average.

For social life it is pretty sucky. There is absolutely no sense of school spirit as far as following the sports teams goes and many of the students commute from home so their isn't much of a party scene either. Also, DePaul is a "City School" which is a very different experience from a "college town" atmosphere like at Illinois or Iowa, for example. At those schools you can party it up and not have to worry about walking around campus in the middle of the night, but at DePaul you are in a big city and need to be more mature and responsible with your partying which isn't always something many college students want to do or can be trusted to do.

As far as city schools go, it is definitly one of the best ones in the country. DePaul is in one of the nicest and safest parts of Chicago (Lincoln Park).

Hope this helps

For Job Opportunities it is fantastic if you plan on living and working in Chicago after college.

Above average. There are plenty of bad schools in Chicago but DePaul is very good.

very good. You'll get a great education there. Be warned, it is a Catholic school, not that it's bad or anything. It's not like they shove it down your throat. It threw one of my friends off when he first went there.
