Why is it that different units of measure are used within same "project".
On some TV programming from UK " mixed" measurements are used.
Eg. Inches & mm then meters or feet when describing an object or depth ,practically in same sentence.
Does not seem to be for comparison purposes.
Is one method used more in construction for instance, than the other?

we have got a caravan for hire in Towyn North Wales. I have given people I know flyers and I have also put postcards etc in the shops who would would be willing to have them. i have looked at several sites on the web, but unfortunately these are on sites which you hire a caravan off them which is not what I am looking for. I know one can put ads in local papers, but to do that all season, would work out to be very expensive. Does anyone know of any sites which aloows you to hire out your caravan

How do these people as a whole differ from one another? How are they simmilar? Of course, people are individuals, but they also subscribe to a value system, and individuals will seek common ground with their neighbours for a lot of different reasons. However, because of these mutual beliefs national cultures evolve, and thus a national character. On the downside to this, stereotypes will often develop from people who are outside this group. Nevertheless, national characters do exist. Therefore tell me what you think of as the Welsh national character, aswell as the Scots and the Irish. We English have one too, so if any of you who are not English have an opinion about the majority of us in this part of the isle who are descendents of Angles, Saxons and Jutes, feel free to share your thoughts on my tribe then too.
