hi there
im visiting the isle of wight this weekend - can anyone suggest some interesting places to visit, pubs which serve good food etc etc? I'll be driving so getting around isnt a problem! thanks in advance

ahhh so much to do and see on the island, however, I think its gonna be a bit rainy so take a mac plus and brolly. Depends on where you are going, ryde, shanklin, cowes, etc. I would suggest Black Gang Chine if you have children with you, the villages themselves have loads and loads of character and lots to see, im desperately trying to remember a place we went to last year, museum type shop place, below are some links for you. Ventnor is lovely with the terraced gardens. Pop into the Spy-glass Inn at the end of the beach, they do great food too. Freshwater and surrounding area is great too. I didn't like Ryde. Bembridge was a tranquil place. Osborne house is worth a look. I'm not usually into stately homes but this one really impressed me. Have a nice break.

Shanklin. Go down the Chine to the beach. The chine is a natural beauty spot.

why not go to shanklin its a vey beuitiful seaside town in a lovely hilly setting with exellent shops and places to eat and drink
