My wife and I are going to London later this year. We are staying here:
Renaissance Heathrow Airport
800-346-8357
Bath Road
Heathrow
London, GB

What's the nearest Tube station from this address? If it's in LHR, can I just take the hotel shuttle to the airport and just catch the train from there?

I'm very familiar with the New York City subway. I guess I was just wondering how easy it is compared to that one?

One more question. In New York, it's all about your direction: Downtown, Uptown, Bronx, Brooklyn..etc..

What are the dominant directions that are posted in the Tube to keep you headed in the right direction?

What the best hotels are
Where the best places to eat are
Best rates on hotel
Is it better to rent a car or take local transportation?

I know i prob. need a travel agent but it would be great to know what time is best to go....sites i can see....etc.

I would like to move to Finsbury park as it seems a bit cheaper than some of the nearby areas like Crouch End. I had heard that crime could be a problem there though.

I am thinking of moving to London - and only want to live in Zone 1. I have a fixed income from my investments of 50,000 GBP a year and this is after taxes. I need to know if I can have a good enough lifestyle in London on this much money? And what all can I afford there?

I would need a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, and enough money to go out 4-5 times a week.

Hello,

I am a 16 year old model from London.. I wish to be the next Naomi Campbell- so I have decided to move to New york, as I believe there will be more opportunities available for me..

However, I haven't a clue about how I am to move, the procedures ( if i need a visa etc.), where I should stay and how much I would need to bring with me ( to get me started)..

I love fashion, so ideally I would like to stay in a fashionable area, close to shops and FAR away from crime.

Please could someone kindly advise me on the best places to live and roughly how much money I would need..

Thank You

Always when I take the tube in London and they say this is the district line to Upminster, I always wonder what's there? is it similar to Westminster?
I always wanted to go there, but I don't want to pay for a ticket to go all the way to zone 6, anyone could you describe me Upminster?

I want to take my niece out for the day and wondered if there are any parents out there who have been to anything decent recently? We will probably go to the Natural History Museum as, scandalously, she has not been there yet. Is there anything different that would compliment this? Or 2 totally different things altogether? (I hate touristy stuff generally, so anything obscure would be great) Cheap would be good also, if possible.

She's a mother of 2 in her mid 30s moving to London to be with her military husband who was just transferred there. My girlfriend would like to get her a going away gift that would be perfect. I've been there once and I know the lifestyle there can be drastically different than that of Texas but I cannot come up with anything. Any suggestions?
