So, I have this dream that I am hoping to develop into a plan in the next few yeard- backpacking around the globe: Beginning somewhere, staying there long as I like, then move on somewhere else, hopefully finding jobs on the way. I am ready to face cultural shock, extreme poverty and other conditions. The problem is, I have no idea how it works out with the bureucracy, visas and all. Has anyone done something similar? Where can I find more information? Do you think I need to have a strict plan and stick to it, or can I do as I wish?? Thanks in advance...

I am hoping to go to Chamonix, France on Monday flying into Geneva, Switzerland. However i have only 1 month left on my passport. Any idea if this is acceptable? I can also take a photo driving license but i am unsure if this is considered as a national european ID card.

I am traveling this summer for the first time after my graduation. I am planning to visit east Asia and Europe. Countries include China, Japan, Korea, England, France, Germany, Italy, and Sweden. Is it safe to use my credit cards in these countries? I am just worried about identity theft problem. Thanks alot.

My bf and I want a fairly cheap package deal holiday for June time. We dont mind where we go as long as its hot but its gotta be under £500 in total flying from UK. Is it cheaper to book now or leave it until the last minute? We are in our twenties and want somewhere thats fairly quiet but not too quiet if that makes sense! All inclusive preferably which is what we did last time, saves money out there then!

3 salesmen pooled in to pay rs 300 to the hotel manager for the room. the manager later found it was 250 so he returned rs 50 to the bellboy. the bellboy decided to keep rs 20 with him since th 3 managers would find it difficult to divide rs50 among them. now the salesmen paid rs 270 [300-30] the bellboy boy keeps rs20.

270 + 20=290. wheres the remaining rs 10

It can be in NY, Las Vegas, LA, Washington, Chicago, etc... or even London
It has to show their room rates and stuff.

I live in SE Oklahoma and have for the past 5 years. I lived in Kansas until then and the summers were hot and humid, but not as bad as it is here. I'm at the point where the heat and humidity just infuriates me and I HATE summer anymore, just hate it! I am stuck in this hell hole until my kids graduate from high school in a few years. But after that, I am out of here! lol So someone please tell me a good place to go so I can start making plans, visiting, etc.

I prefer farm/ranch/rural areas surrounded by small towns but no more than 50 miles from a large city.

I am from australia, and i know that the country is not just full of hilbillys and yobbos and etc, but everytime a show or cartoon mentions australia, its always something to do with hillbillys and/or kangaroos..

i am just wondering if the rest of the world actually thinks australia is like that?

I've looked around, and from what I've seen, it's a mixed bag. Some only have the screen up front, and some have TV's in the ceiling around the cabin along with the projector screen up front.

Does anybody know what I'm most likely to have in a 767-300ER?

Last weekend I and my bf went for a little travel.
We've seen each other for 6 weeks.
He arranged the whole thing, it was a surprise for me.
So he paid the hotel rental, car rental fee. quite good hotel, so I think quite expensive. But I didn't how to say I want to share the fee with him. So I just paid for some dinners.

Should I share the hotel rental fee after the travel?
PS: we are in Pairs, and both have good jobs.

I'm wanting to go somewhere for the month of March...Puerto Rico would be great.
But after looking on weather.com it seems as though San Juan is very rainy for the next 10 days. Has anyone ever been there during this time of year? Or anywhere else in PR that may be a better choice?

Or is it only raining during few parts in the day and then it clears up? I would really hate to get there and have a rainy vacation.

Any warm/beach vacation places that do not require a passport would be great too.
