I live here and my experience is to fly into Orlando, it's easier and really tends to be cheaper or about the same as the "surrounding" airports. Don't wait too long to book your flights because they will more than likely go up in price. I think that the fare you found is pretty good for the time of year you are traveling.
Have a great trip!

That's pretty standard these days. Most round trip airfares are around $300. Where are you flying from?

If you can get to a city served by them, Allegiant Air has decently priced flights down to Sanford (Airport Code: SFB), FL, which is just slightly north of Orlando (you can get to Disney World in under an hour from there).

USA3000 is a discount airline that serves St. Petersburg.

Also, try Kayak, which is a web site that searches travel websites.

Good luck!

The big thing is where your flying from and if your staying in a hotel you might be able to get a packaged rate, go to a travel agent and ask them or orbitz they will usually tell you a pretty good flight and you can look at other airlines. Try southwest too they might have pretty good tickets too.

try orbitz.com - they're great value and I haven't found cheaper prices elsewhere. Also, they have the option to check a box which also looks at other airports within an 80 mile radius to the ones you have selected in order to get you the cheapest price possible if price is your main thing. Hope this helps!
