Is there a website where you can click on a location or type in an address it will show the closest hotels to where you specify on the map. I have to travel for work and would like to get within a mile of the office if at all possible.

Try http://www.hotels.com, on the left hand side you can search by attraction etc, see if the address your looking for is for example downtown, or close to a major attraction click search and you will pull up a list of hotels with how many miles it is from the location you are looking for, or try your travel agent.

Good luck

You can find ANY nearby businesses on Yahoo maps (and many other similar services). Map your address, and then ask it to highlight nearby hotels (which is in the "Travel and Transportation" menu). I use this all the time. It's a great way to find restaurants, too.

orbitz does that. On the main page, click the hotels tab, then click 'Search by Address' it will then list hotels in order of distance and tell you what that distance is from your office.

go to www.hoteldiscounts.com the have a link where after putting the place you want to go they offer to see hotels near..... and they give you opcions of places.
for example if you go to NY you can find hotels specifically near the empire state or Times Square. that is how i found a hotel half block of times square and for a great price!
so check that web page they offer for everywhere!
