It was surprising how few of the tropical resorts are actually in the regions that have the heat,humidity and rainfall that is required to make a really tropical environment.
Most are located in areas with the least extremes of this type of climatic condition.
All the following are within 5 degrees north or south of the Equator in what can be climatically defined as tropical areas.
Australia (only the coastal regions of the northern third of the continent.

Aketi .Zaire
Addis Adibah. Ethiopia
Adjan .Borneo
Alor Setor..Thailand
Albina .French Guiana
Aracaju .Brazil
Aninopolis Brazil
Anori . the only "A" located on the Amazon river, Brazil
