Travel (General) - January 2007

I'm going travelling all round the world soon and my current mobile contract is coming to an end. Am I better off getting a new contract with a UK provider?? Is there a tariff that's cheaper than others when roaming...or a dedicated provider...or am I better off getting a PAYG chip at the various countries I visit? Thanks for any input!

I'm from Southern California and I'm leaving for a 5 day trip with my husband and 5 kids. We are going to Ohio where the forecast shows 15 degrees (F) and snow. We will be guests at my brothers home in Hudson. I'm starting to PANIC while I pack. Can you tell me if there is something that I absolutely need to take with me, besides a warm jacket and shoes with good traction? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

I know that there are a lot of really neat places out there but they don't have a lot of money. Enough for plane fare and about 6-7 night in hotel, depending how much food and other activities cost.
While I have been to a lot of places it has been over 40 years for my honeymoon.

Hello Everyone. I am traveling to India this week, I just want to make sure if anyone knows I am a permanent resident and I have the green card with me. I got a travel document. Im from Chicago where its 10 degrees and snowing right now and Im flying to Tampa, FL tomorrow. Its supposed to be about 70 degree each day. I dont remember how 70 feels and dont know what to pack...its not swimsuit-laying-on-the-beach weather, right? Is it capri's and t-shirts? I dont think its shorts and tank top weather, but gosh, it could be. Maybe its jeans and t-shirt weather? I also tend to be a little on the cold side...what should I pack?
