I never trusted my memory either. The week prior to leaving, I used to keep pen and paper on my vanity and make a note of all the things I use on a regular basis during my daily routine. I've since reached a point where I now have a bag with duplicates of all my tioletries, hair brush, bandaids and such ready to go on a moments notice. That bag stays open 24 hours prior to leaving and I just drop in my vitamins, etc. at the last minute.

I always think about what I need in sections for example - toiletries (make-up, wash/shower, beach), electricals, documents, clothes (casual, beach, evening), extras (jewellery, towels, accesories, books..) etc.. and then I run through my daily routine adding to the list. I rarely forget anything and if I do its usually something I can get over there.

Don't forget your travel insurance. Its also a good idea to photocopy your insurance form so you can carry the copy with you when you're actually on the slopes.
Hope that didn't sound too negative, have a great time!
