I know that there are a lot of really neat places out there but they don't have a lot of money. Enough for plane fare and about 6-7 night in hotel, depending how much food and other activities cost.
While I have been to a lot of places it has been over 40 years for my honeymoon.

I'd suggest the Poconos.

By the way, there's a pretty good article in January's Modern Bride mag. It's called "Honeymoon Spots and How to Remove Them."

Mexico is great and pretty economical out of most U.S. gateways.
They have a lot of all inclusive properties, which means all your food and drinks are included.
