I'm getting Lasik surgery done and I won't be able to go into the water for about 3 weeks. However I want to go on vacation to someplace cool that doesn't include water as soon as possible. Any cool places?

Hi -- stuck in a rut here in NYC. Is it possible to just pack up and move to another city without having a job waiting? How much would you need to have in savings?
