I think of a both side Union! If these countries put away all their conflicts they could probably run a union that could be better than the E.E. They are located in the best place on Earth, in the center of the world ( Medditeranean ). They want each others' land but what if they share it and not try to claim it?! Imagine what a big tourism could be managed. I think, and we also see it in history, that if only one country owns these lands then it would powerful(Roman,Byzantine,Ottoman empire)! And that's the reason why the two countries cannot develop & achieve great aims!Cause they live in a divided place. This is a great idea, a Union! A social movement could manage it, cause politics does not seem to do something.
Turkey and Greece together wouldn't be a Great Power?
With a total population of 80-100 million its like making a Germany but in the greatest place of the world. It would attract the worlwide interest! But it could also bring the 3rd World War( WWIII)!!!

What do you think?

This summer I might be taking a trip to Italy, Greece, and Turkey. I don't think I have to worry about Italy or Greece too much (correct me if I'm wrong) but I'm not sure about what is modest/immodest in Turkey, since it is an Islamic country. So, what is the appropriate way to dress there? And if anyone's been there before, what is it like? Thanks!

First one : Who do you think should be the new president of Türkiye? Why?

Second one : Should the constitution of Türkiye be changed? If so, which mistakes do you find in it?

Third one : Should Türkiye abandon from trying to a member of EU?

Fourth one : Are you happy from AKP?(I know it's a stupid question but..) If not, which policy should be used for make AKP to go?

is medical insurance compulsory i am told turks have to pay for treatment. is the standard high

2006-11-21 00:51:23 · 5 answers · asked by Anonymous

I've heard that this double standard exists in big cities also. Turkish women are expected to be virgins before they get married but turkish men will go to bordellos and have sex with sex workers whenever they want and then expect turkish women to be virgins.

Is that true? I've heard that in big cities even the double standard is expected. I thought that the cities like Istanbul,Ankara, Izmir, they were more fair to women?

How acceptable is it in the big cites for a unmarried woman to not be a virgin?

I am curious, which is the bigger club. I met some GS fans because they won one cup in Europe they claim they are the best. Then I met some FB fans telling me they have more fans than anyone. When i was i Turkey (lived there 2 yrs.) FB seemed like they have a lot more fans, nicer stadiums and talked about a lot more and seems that in every sport they are geared for championship. Where as GS looked like they dont have much money, they have been succesful here and there but they always lose to FB and hey had a lot less fans...
Is this true? What do you guys think? Please keep it English and polite. I know in Turkey this issue can get a little heated. I am just curious.

PS - (I am half Italian half Greek not a per say fan of either) I also went to one game between the two teams ever in my life, the result wa a devastating 6-0 loss for the favor of FB.

For a week only. 2 adults, 2 children who could share a room/double-bed. Doesn't have to be a fancy holiday-type flat, more like what a student or local resident would have. Beyoglu, Carsika, Beyazit, Kucukpaza, Unkapani, Aksaray, Taksim, Fatih - somewhere like that?
