I'm off to Riga for the weekend and am wondering just how easy it is going to be to find decent vegetarian food. I eat dairy and eggs but obviously no meat or fish. My guidebook says that pretty much every dish in Latvia is based around meat!!! I know there is one completely vegetarian restaurant but obviously I can't eat there every meal. Anyone been there and clocked the veggie food? Any Latvians out there with a recommendation for me? Thanks

We're gong to Italy & Germany. With the Euro being worth more than a dollar, is it better to use a credit card and charge everything or just convert our dollars to Euros? Does it matter? I've heard that if you use a credit card, you'd just have to pay the American dollars, not the Euro. Any advice from travelers?

I already put down a deposit for a trip to Europe in May but I have heard that US citizens are unpopular in Europe even in England and that we may be treated as suspected terrorists because of our governments involvement in 9/11 and even some bombings that happened in London. Is it safe for Americans to visit Europe now?

I know from numerous sources what sights I should see while there, but I need to know what I should avoid doing while in Europe. I shall be starting the trip most likely in London. Next, I shall be traveling across the United Kingdom, and then the rest of Europe.
So, starting in London, England, what types of behaviors should I refrain from, which areas should I avoid, and what are some of the American-friendly places that are lesser known to tourists, and how should I behave in said places?
Any help from Europeans and anyone who visits frequently is greatly appreciated.
