I would like to hire Croatian writers and photographers for my website (explorecroatia.net). So far I haven't been able to find any sources. I am also looking info on vacation spots, local events, tourist attractions, night clubs, and so on. Any info would be appreciated.

1)FOR GENERAL INFORMATION on Croatia these websites are good.....

Croatian tourist board. Excellent very comprehensive website covers all vacation spots , tourist attractions etc http://www.croatia.hr/English/Home/Naslovna.aspx

In your pocket cover several Croatian towns such as Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Zagreb..And is a bit hipper than the official tourist board. Alot of nightlife info

Virtual Tourist. Very useful interesting site..that has many tips from travelers, personal recommendations. Many contributors are Croatian Has a forum too.

There are many internet resources on Croatia..All major towns (and alot of smaller ones too) and regions have websites. Alot have forums, webcam..local events guides, sport, gay culture.etc .Many of the sites have English versions too. This search engine should make it easier to search..because it lists many Croatian site by topic. But if you need help you can email me.

You must of course remember that all informations on these websites will be copyright.
However the Croatian tourist board has a site for journalists where you have permission to use photos articles etc..You can also contact them and they will be able to help you in finding writers etc

2)FOR HIRING WRITERS / PHOTOGRAPHERS.
As well as writing to the Croatian tourist board. You should ask in various forums such as virtual tourist, hospitality club, lonely planet (in the Croatia sections)
Or place one on a Croatian forum such as this one http://www.forum.hr/
It would be OK to write it in English, I think..because people would be able to understand it. Sutible categories would be; Ostale Umjetnosti (Other arts), Turizam, or Mali Oglasi (small ads)

I'm not sure of what kind of writers you are searching for but here is the website of the Croatian journalist association http://www.hnd.hr/

For photographers you can try contacting photographers from Croatia on sites such as Flickr. Many will be amatuer photographers and will be happy for the work..

Or you could try on a Croatian photography website like these
