I am heading to Europe next spring hoping to find a job and be able to settle down.

I am canadian so to get a job the employer would have to get sponsership for me which means they would have to prove that nobody else can be found for the job or that thay have a hard time keeping workers.

What kind of work is avalilble in the western euro countrys that pays enough to cover the cost of living, does not require a degree, and the would be able to hire a canadian?

I have been checking job sites but the type of stuff I am looking for is not on the list. I would prefer to live in wales but any country is better then nothing.

There was a study done that said Europeans showed people of different nationalities liked each other MORE after getting to know each other, except in the case of the British -- who became less popular. So that got me thinking because I figured ppl would like the French less. What European nationality do you like more?

Just in case you don't know all the countries, here's a list!

Austria │ Belgium │ Cyprus │ Czech Republic │
Denmark │ Estonia │ Finland │ France │ Germany │
Greece │ Hungary │ Ireland │ Italy │ Latvia │
Lithuania │ Luxembourg │ Malta │ Netherlands │
Poland │ Portugal │ Slovakia │ Slovenia │ Spain │
Sweden │ United Kingdom

Hi

Two of us will be in Madrid this New Year's Eve. Is Puerta del Sol the best area to be?

Any recommendations for somewhere really good to eat that night? Somewhere nice and romantic, with good food and wine. An e-mail address would also be fantastic!

Finally, we will be staying that night in Hotel Puerta America, which is quite a distance from Puerta del Sol. I don't want to risk not being able to get back to the hotel easily at the end of the night. Can anyone recommend a really reliable taxi company who could transfer us from the hotel to the city centre at the start of the night, and collect us and take us back at the end?

Thanks for all your help!

My son loves to collect coins but he wants the circulation coins.
Like when I went to Canada I brought him back all the coins they had in circulation. A gift that cost me less than $5.00 and one that he loved better than anything else.

I don't want to do ebay because I don't want to pay shipping for each coin.

Would someone from another country consider swapping sets of coins or letting me pay them via paypal for what's in circulation over there?

So, I've been doing some research on prices in Norway, and I have found prices in Oslo make me want to faint. I was wondering what the prices are outside of Oslo. Are they less painful for food, hotels, etc? Is it possible to stay in a small hotel, or bed and breakfast type place for cheap in small towns?
