I've heard you can get into Cuba with just your US birth certificate--of course, you still need a passport to travel on the plane, no?--so can you do that and avoid a stamp on your passport and any proof of your visit to Cuba? Looking for guidance here--I've been to Cuba twice, legally, with a church group but I need to get back this summer to visit some friends. The logistics are killing me. Any help is appreciated more than you know.

I go on vacation every year to different places with nice beaches. This year I want to hit up something carribean/latin american. I've got some criteria, so please give me some suggestions along the following guidlines...

- Secluded, i.e. not a big resort town like Cancun or Puerta Vallarta. Something off the beaten path would be great.

- Pristene- I'm a swimmer, not a surfer

- Relatively affordable. I'm a starving student.

Hi, getting married mid august, thinking of the carribean for our honey moon, know its rainy season in aug. Which island would be best for temp/least rainfall in this month? Was thinking of aruba? Looking to find a very nice beacj for a week get-a-way in June. Somewhere low key and somewhat family oriented. Also a place with good food and good service. Not looking to spend a bundle....but really be able to enjoy the pool and the clear waters of a nice beach.

Anyway, I was wondering how much cigars tend to cost and how I can make sure they're genuine, high quality cigars?
Also, is CUC (Convertible Peso) sold in the Cuban airports? Is it used in almost every shop or should I buy some of the peso that the locals use too?
What else is relatively cheap to get in Cuba?

Four to six of us are looking for decent, inexpensive accommodation in/near Ochos Rios. Although we prefer bed and breakfast places, we're open to renting an apartment/house for a week. We're looking for something in a decent/quiet neighborhood, preferably with TV and air-conditioning...although we can make do without AC if the place is good in all other aspects. How much does a taxi (cab) ride cost four adults to go from Kingston airport to Ochos Rios? (I am assuming it costs about the same to go the other way, from Ochos Rios to Kingston airport.)
