In my heart, I know I am from the Bahamas, and I know it is American, but when I read any passage from a geography book fr an encyclopedai, my eyes are on fire since the text says, "Ha! Ha! The Bahamas are British, rebel boy!" I am also an American, but I do not wish to be charged with treason because I have intimate knowledge of the Bahamas. I am willing to follow the law, but I feel perplexed when the phrase "part of the Commonwelath" includes the Bahamas. iam not British and I know the Bahamas has nothing to do with England, but what am I compared with an encyclopedia. Many persons contribute to an encyclopedia and the persons who contributed the info of the Bahamas state the country to be part of the British Commonwealth. I do not mind any overlays since my religion was founded in England. Please help me before my goose is cooked. (No, I am not a memeber of the Anglican Church. I am a Unitarian.)

The name on the ship was FinnJet. It was docked near our cruise ship but, except for a few men, it appeared deserted. Does anyone know anything about the boat? Thanks

When we go to the Bahamas, lot's of the nicer hotels have Canadian and American flags at the front, or at the back near the pools. It's really weird, because it's not in Canada or the USA. I guess I can understand that they put up the American flag since lot's of the hotels are American, and Bahamas are near Florida, but then why Canadian? But it still seems weird to have the Canadian and American flags at hotels in the Bahamas.

I will be back in Nassau in a couple weeks, last time I was there I rented a scooter and I am interested in doing so again, I just seems that last time I may have been over charged. I would like to find a place where I would not have to worry about being over charged, also I was thinking about renting a 4x4 if that is possible there.

Many persons are skeptical about taking long flights to countrys too far away
from their homes. The Bahamas, however is only 35 minutes away from
Miami and 1 1/2 hours direct from Atlanta. There is something for everyone
to do there. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, then you can have an island all to yourself. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, with Las Vagas type of entertainment, then they have that also.
