I believe a passport is now needed for all visitors to and from the Caribbean. Laws are changing so you may want to double check. I would take one anyway as people are running into issues. There is a law, however, that will go into affect Jan 23rd. You may want to Google Canada Passport Laws for the new requirements.

No, you don't. All you need is proof of citizenship, which can be just your birth certificate.
The upcoming passport requirements are only for travel between the United States and any other country. Canadian travel requirements will remain the same.

i'm lower than the effect they prolonged the passports for caribbean commute time reduce till january a million, 2008 because of the backup. communicate such as your commute agent. in the adventure that they did not then bypass to the USVI or Puerto Rico or the Florida Keys... all very impressive places the position you do not go away the U. S...

Depending on what days you are planning to travel.... as said before eff. Jan. 8th you will need a passport to travel almost anywhere!
