I remember reading a post here mentioning Canadian news events/TV shows from decades ago, like Definition the game show.....can you mention any others, to which Canadians 30-70 years old would say "Ahhh yes I remember that!"

A couple of friends went from Alaska to the Yukon by car and they told me that the customs officers were really rud. Then I friend went from New York to Montreal and told me the same thing. I was planning on going from Alaska to Edmonton by car and I was really afraid because I'm southamerican (not mexican for all of you as*holes wondering) but when the customs guy saw my passport was really friendly and polite. I don't know. Somebody with a similar experience?

I know this is a weird question to ask online but what do you think?I want to move to Ottawa after I'm done with college. I mean I would probably just fit what I could in my car and sell my bed and whatever else and get new ones. When I do get closer I'm going to have a job already placed before I move and an apartment set up. I'm just wondering what sum of money one would need. Canadian money isn't much different from ours so telling me in US dollars won't make much difference.

Can you explain why so many people ONLY drink Tim Horton's coffee? Our coffee at work (and at home) is fresh and good quality, and so much cheaper! I know people who will drive an extra 10 miles out of their way to pick up a Tim's on the way to work, when there is free good coffee at work.

I can't notice any difference in taste. Am I missing something? Is it just a habit, or what?
