My partner and I have a single day in Singapore before flying out. We'll have from early morning until around 4pm. Can anyone suggest/recommend the best shopping places to visit during our brief stay? Including ideas on where to have breakfast and lunch? We're staying on Orchard Road.

In a couple of months I am marrying an Singaporean guy and moving to Singapore from the States. We haven't started seriously looking at immigration issues yet. Will I be immediately given PR? Can someone who has been in a similar situation briefly outline paperwork we will need to fill? I am worried whether I will be immediately able to work and when would my medical insurance kick in. How long does PR application take and can I be denied it even though I am married to a citizen?

Be honest, there's freedom in speech on the Net. I personally think it sucks, one major exam once every two years and those being streamed into bad streams are forever stereotyped by the society as useless and stupid kids who cant study for god's sake. What do you think?
