It's been my long wish to travel alone as an 'adventure'. I am working in Singapore and I deserved to have a break. I came across Angkor Wat since my history subjects in secondary school. I find this magnificent structure a real world wonder. So please share your experince with me if you had. Thanks!

i used to travel a lot before i became a mummy. I keep dreaming about travelling to South East Asia when the kids are a bit older.., mainly Thailand, Malaysia, but i dont know where is good to go.

I am not really a back-packing type though, i dont mind visiting the rougher parts but i like to stay in relatively comfortable accomodation.

If you have been to South East Asia, which area(s) would you recommend staying in? ANd why? And which hotels are the nicest?

I am going on a university travelling study program, ending in Hong Kong a few days before xmas. I have no restrictions about where to go after (except I need to be back in the UK by 7th Jan), and was looking at going to Cambodia.

I have looked at Visas, and they are valid for three months, so I wouldn't be able to apply for this until I am halfway across the world - Ecuador.

Is it difficult to arrange accomodation in Cambodia on arrival at the international airport?

How would I go about arranging flights to Cambodia from Hong Kong - I can't really find anything online that does so.

Any help and guidance would be much appreciated - What is the climate like there at that time of year? Costs of trips and Excursions? Tourist friendly?

Also, if you do think its a bad idea for me to go to Cambodia, any suggestions for other travel after Hong Kong?

Web links will be much appreciated, thanks in advance !

Anyone out there who has any idea where can my friend & I stay up with hotel budget S$100 per night for 12 nights or longer? We are planning to go the usual shopping areas for shopping & hoped that we're staying within walking distance to MTR. We've checked Tatami Hampton Hotel. What other hotels are available? Thanks! :D

Hi,

I will be traveling for three months through SE Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia starting in mid-September. I consume many herbal dietary supplements for my health, but because of possilbe complications getting them through customs (the herbs come in bulk with no original packaging per se), it looks like I might have to find these Chinese and Indian (Ayurvedic) herbs in each respective destination.

So, I'm asking about Laos here---any city, but especially in bigger ones like Vientiane. Do you know of any herbalists or herbal shops which have Chinese and Indian herbs, especially encapsulated herbs? Health-food stores? (I'm looking for largest shops, as they are more likely to have the specific herbs I need.) Any names or search tips on the internet would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
