I was looking at the award summary for United and USAir. I noticed that United awards a round trip ticket for 50,000 miles and USAir awards a round trip ticket for half the miles, 25,000 miles. How can this be?

tommoro i am going on an airplane for the first time and i am scared. i have no idea what to do when i get to the airport. i dont know what happens while flying, whats normal, how should things go? please help! i am really nervous.

I am supposed to be flying in to Denver early Saturday morning. I hear another big storm is coming through Thurs-Fri, possibly as bad as the last.
I am flying Southwest and am wondering if they will simply reroute the flight or will they just all together cancel it?
I am trying to plan ahead so I do not get stuck!
It would be approx. $300 dollars more for me to reroute my own flight itinerary to fly into another airport.....

I never fly so any advice would help. Please don't bother with ridiculous answers (I have no problem reporting you!).

I have read that some women have set off the airport metal detectors with their underwire bra and I wondered how many of you have got through OK and how many have not been so lucky.
I fly about once a month and recently I was asked to step aside for a secondary scan as I had tripped the metal detector, they wanded me and when that set off I told them it was my underwired bra and they said they want to see it.
I ended up in this room and I was told to remove my jacket and skirt then I had to unbutton my blouse while a female officer went through my clothes which I had to put on a table.
I had to unfasten my bra and lift it up exposing my breasts, then they made me pull down my pantyhose to the knees and open the waistband of my panties. I ended up standing there in my underwear and the room was not even warm, Im sure this was not necessary.
I still wear underwired bra's and usually I get away with it, which just demonstrates how inconsistent security is at different airports.

I will be flying from London Ontario to Victoria BC, 5 of my friends who have made this flight tell me that it is approx a 3 and a half hour flight. However, if im leaving at 730am (Ontario time) which is 430am BC time and arriving at 1130am (BC Time) doesn't that make it a 7 hour flight?? I only have a 45 minute stopover so I don't get it.
