One gets the impression from Arab and pro-Arab media reports that Jews are a people prone to violence without provocation. Is there a Jewish tendancy for violence?

I'm visiting Jerusalem for 5 weeks this summer and I was told that I should pack a few modest clothes for visiting conservitive neighborhoods or religions sites. Are jeans and a t-shirt modest or do I have to have a long skirt and long sleeves? What about if I visit a mosque? I'm not muslim and I don't know what to wear. I need help and I leave in 3 days!

My parents were refugees from the Soviet Union in 1981. Within a few months they immigrated to the United States and soon after acquired citizenship. They are not considered refugees, and for me to be considered a Soviet/Russian refugee would be laughable.

So how is it that a person living in Jordan, with Jordanian citizenship is considered a refugee because his Grandfather 60 years ago fled from the Galilee?

How many other examples are their like this in human history?

Can the son of a Jew take advantage of Israel's Law of Return? If the son converted from Judaism to Christianity?

The law of return permits the children and grandchildren of Jews to take up Israeli citizenship in Israel, however, does this apply to the son of a Jew, if the son, in fact had a bar mitzvah and then converted to Christianity?

The territory of Gaza is no longer occupied by Israel and soon it will no longer be occupied by Fatah.

The people of Gaza must be overjoyed that they are being liberated from these occupiers. Maybe now they can declare themselves the nation of Hamastan and live in the Islamic state of their dreams.

Sounds like paradise. Anyone care to visit?

They have managed to kill hundreds of Palestinians (many of the civilians) without a single UN resolution condemning their actions.

Clearly they are killing them in a way that is acceptable to the international community.

Additionally Lebanon manages to shell a Palestinian refugee camp, an innocent refugee camp, and not a single condemnation of war crimes or excessive force.

I guess Lebanon has special mortar shells that only kill their intended targets. After all why else has the world not condemned their actions?

I had neglected to block email contact, and just got a LOVELY message from that nutcase Adamska, in which he resorted to calling me, among other things, a 'dirty jewish whore'....

All I can say is, he's really shown his true colours. Not that we weren't all aware anyway of what a racist bigot he is...

I know that as a Jew i can apply for citizenship in israel without almost anyother proof, so lets say taht i do just that while on a vacation there. So would I have to go through any other extraneous measures to maintain dual citizenship in the US and Israel, or is it just an automatic thing?

As we all know the current violence in Gaza is disturbing and seems to be getting worse.

From Fatah and Hamas clashes to rockets launched into Israel and retaliatory Israeli fire.

The big losers are civilians living in Gaza and Southern Israel.

As such I think the first priority is establishing who controls Gaza. Clearly the PA or Hamas has proved incapable of doing so and Israel is not interested. As such the responsibility falls to the UN. A good example of how this could be done is how the UN administers Kosovo, and it should be done until the Palestinians can govern themselves.

As for security that would also fall to the UN or NATO because no one else is willing. Until such time a unified Gaza police/security force can be established.
