Having someone heartbroken over you

Having someone mad at you

Having someone jealous about you

Having someone feel betrayed by you

Pick your poison!

Mine would be having someone mad at me. I can't stand it! I have to resolve it like that second! lol

I am being serious now. I mean I am serious now.
Here is the thing:
1- You're in a dilemma that requires some thinking then making a decision.
2- It's not a love dilemma or anything, it's usually related to work, or relationships. Not romantic relationships, but relationships with co-workers or family relationships.
3- You have no one to ask for advice because you are the only one who understands the full dimensions of the situation. You're on your own.
4- You make a decision. Let's call this decision "x".
5- It turns out that "x" was not the best decision to make, but you still have no regrets because you had no one to tell you what to do.
6- People start to blame you, or you start to blame yourself after you witness the side-effects of x.
7- The problem is there is never a "y" solution and all the solutions are "x1", "x2" , "x3" with side effects for each.

This morning I went to sleep and when I woke this afternoon, I see my landlord have painted my apartment RED with YELLOW trimmings on the outside. It seems nightmares can follow you into your waking hours now.

Like when i listen to happy, funny or as i call them perk me up songs and tunes, i feel really light and cheerful. Then again, when i listen to romantic songs with great lyrics, i remember my sweetheart, and then other songs make me feel nostalgic to people, places and memories .........

Is this weird or are you also like that? and why?
Could you say one or two songs that really gets to you?

While I do have a friend who lives in a suburb of Beirut that I plan to visit early next year for the first time (I'm American of old European descent - never been to the ME), I am concerned about him, but also selfishly, my own vacation plans. How do you forsee this playing out, and what are my safety risks? I will be staying in a "Christian area", and have no plans to travel too far south or to Tripoli. What is the best time to go in '08?

*PLEASE* only answers from people that actually know, not racists or overly paranoid fellow Americans ;) I need advice from Lebanese there and here, and my fellow world travellers.

I never quite understood how property can automatically be labeled property of a particular ethnic/religious/ or linguistic group. And before you say it the same goes for the Jews

No one would consider Syria ‘Greek land’ even though the Seleucid Empire controlled the area for over 300 years.

So where exactly dose this concept come from?

Apartheid South Africa? The anti-Semitic remarks I have seen here against the Palestinian people are shocking. In the question I was just looking at; the ID "friend of zion" (or some such) was actively justifying the assault of school children and attempted arson of their school by so called settlers. This person's comment was that the environment was "kill or be killed." Has zion completely lost it's senses? To use the phrase "kill or be killed" in response to a news article of settlers breaking into a school and attacking school children, is appalling. What we have is adults attacking children.
