I posted a question to see if there were any fellow Reform Jews here. I also mentioned that having attended both Reform and Orthodox synagogues, I personally prefered the former, because in the Orthodox shuls I went to, the women were always tucked away behind the mechitsa where they just sat and chatted. This was my personal opinion and experience.

In response, ST has now stated that my opinion is 'anti semitic and self hating'.

Er, I always thought 'anti semitism' meant hating Jews! What have I said that is racist?

It's because of ST that some non Jews feel we over-use the term 'anti semitic'.

What do you think, please?

I am booked to go to Morocco for marriage and now find that I need hospital treatment. Does anyone know exactly what tests they do on the medical required before marriage? I might be taking chemotherapy drugs soon - will this affect my medical - I wonder - anybody know? Personally I think they maybe only test for STDs but it would be nice to know.

Some people in this section have been rather scathing about Reform Judaism. I think it's bad enough when non Jews bash our religion, without my fellow Jews coming over all righteous!

And may I remind you: Hitler didn't give a damn whether a Jew was Reform, Conservative, or totally secular.

I've attended orthodox synagogues and hated the way the women are either tucked away behind the mechitsa, or else left to sit up in the rafters where all they do is chat incessantly. At least in a Reform shul, families can sit together and enjoy the service together!

Anyone else here Reform and resentful of the criticism you sometimes get?

Since fool and ta3mya are so popular in Egypt, I was wondering if they are also popular in Lebanon.
So do you all like to get together at uncle Moneer's house and eat fool w ta3mya?
If not, then why? uncle moneer is so nice and his family members are so friendly.
As a matter of fact, I am going there tomorrow.
So my question is what do you like to do on your weekend?
I like to sleep all day long while watching t.v. Then go with Mohammed Sa3eed to the cinema.

You can not, on one hand, participate in "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine," and on the other hand, come here and expect to hold the moral high ground.

You might like to listen to Dr. Ilan Pappe thoughts.

......being with children and forget everything but being with the most pure creature Allah has created?

I know that I love, actually "adore" babies but the other day when Batates was with me, of course this is her nick name, I found out something, being with a baby makes me feel pure, relaxed and natural as I don't feel in any other situation or with any one else EXCEPT for:

Such beautiful feelings can't be felt with this strength except with my mama and insha'llah with my wife, I already feel myself natural and pure with her from now, I hope she becomes my wife soon isa ;-)

For those who got my point, who do you feel yourself natural, relaxed and pure most strongly?

then what hope is there?

Yesterday I asked a question about what people thought the future of Israel/Palestine would be in 50 years. Some ignoble soul reported my question as insulting to others. So I ask you, is there something insulting about that? Isn't it a concern in all of our minds as to what the future holds? If we cannot dare to look to the future together (or are prevented from doing so), what does that foretell?

Why is 2007 pronounced "two thousand AND seven" when 27 is pronounced "twenty seven" NOT "twenty and seven"?
Is it wrong to say "two thousand seven", the narrator on a documentary on the History channel kept saying, "two thousand seven" or "two thousand three".

So what is right?
