I know each field goes deeper i.e Electrical goes into electronics and that goes deeper as well.
Who do you think in you opinion is the best.

Chemical engineering in SA will get you stuck working at Sasolburg, so that's out of the question. Electrical is higher paid, but mechanical is more fun because you get to design larger things. My fiance's mechanical, and gets to build a satellite thruster. That'd clinch it for me, except that everyone else in his lab is electrical. It's a toss-up between those two, so I'll pick a hybrid and say Mechatronics.

in my personal opinion none, I don't have any interest in these fields, but I think all of them are good and you can have a brilliant career. If you're trying to decide which one you should choose then this will depend to your interest, do you like machines, do you wonder about the way how the operate do you take you toys apart and rebuild them then the best will be mechanic. do you see your self in white blouse in laboratory mixing two colored lotion, you know chemistry is playing in your head. and if of course you like electricity and you enjoyed building small projects with your father or just dreamed about that then probably you wanna be an electrician
ask your heart and follow what it says. good luck

I don't think you can classify one of them as best, each one is pretty important.

My sister is currently studying electrical engineering, but most subjects on the curriculum(for all 3) overlap for the first 2 years, before they become more in depth in your third year.

Gaz'lam, mina would put another category....civil; and say they are best of all....while it's true that the rest specialises on their respective fields, I can't stop to marvel at structures built by civil engineers...from underground rail roads to mobile roads under the sea to buildings like the former twin towers......have you seen the logs in rivers like the Danube.......

I say Mech Eng because my sister studied it! She did really well in thromodynamics and design, so it not just about engines.

if this question is for you to choose a career, then I wud say dont ask it. Better ask "what I luv to do?" to urself. coz if u choose to do what you love the most, then you don't have to work for a single day in your life.
