I had a job interview this afternoon. The lady was so mean to me with no apparent reason I could think of , and when I was about to leave "bastle men fo2 le ta7t" and asked me to "dress formally" for the next stage of interviews next Monday.
I was really embarressed considering the fact that there were many people at the office at that time.That outfit was the classiest and most expensive one I had "el 7eta ele 3ala el 7abl ya3ne".
Before me there was that airhead brown nose clean cut good looking kid whom she kept smiling to.
I am determined not to go back there again even if they call me , simply because I don't afford , and don't wanna, buy suits.
I spent a short time in America on a scholarship. I was taking classes and teaching classes in the university. I used to wear jeans and a T-shirt , and in the classes I was taking the professors used to wear shorts,
Why do "we" pay such attention to appearances ?

I've heard that nowadays only people in rural areas speak arabic while people in urban areas like Cairo and Alexandria, speak english as their main language, even though they know arabic. Is this true? Is english replacing arabic in the urban areas of Egypt or at least among the middle or upper class?
