South Africans have the good fortune to be in a country at the very dawn of its potential - at the same time however there are many problems it has to deal with in order to become a good place to live for all its citizens. It must deal with the hangover of the brutality of apartheid and decades of overt and covert conflicts, it must deal with the corruption which sadly blights the entire continent of Africa and it must find a way to allow more of its people to share in its wealth without driving away the whites who provide such important skills and experience.
In the end though - as a project manager told me some time ago - "relax - it hurts less that way"
