Volleyball

Okay I'm pretty short about 5'2 and 1/2" I'm thinking about trying out 4 hs volleyball but I'm scared I won't be able to get it over the net. Plus I have asthma. Any tips?

ok people... i just started highschool vball and im one of the best people there but the problem is im only 5'7 and im not going to grow anymore. The coach talked to me and wants to put me as the setter. I'm not that good at setting so do u guys have ne SERIOUS tips...please...=)

Who the hell came up with the idea of spandex shorts for volleyball? I understand why bikers wear biking shorts, but why are their's way longer than volleyball players? I've heard people talking about how much more comfortable they are than regular shorts, but I don't understand how a peice of fabric up your butt the whole time you're playing could be comfortable. Ah, the wedgies...

I just can't believe it has been 6 hours since the last question, so I thought I would ask one. I really like all of you guys and gals asking and answering all of these questions about volleyball. It is absolutely the best game in the world.

Anyway, I am a high school coach and I am going to have a bunch of girls this year that are good setters. I have used both systems in the past and found them both very effective for different reasons. Both coaches and players please tell me why you like either system. I am gonna like go to like a like volleyball camp. It's like three hours. that must be like long. But I like don't even like know how to like play volleyball. Does anyone like have any tips for me, I mean I'm like absouloutely clueless. All I know is like what a spike is. Barely. So please tell me like anything you like know because like I don't like want to like be the clueless idiot out of like the people. It's for intermediate and beginners, and the intermediates will probably think I'm an idiot. HELP! Volleyball like sounds fun but like I don't know like where to get info on how to play so please help. The most like informative like answer gets like the ten points. thanks!

i had my acl injury on my knee joint three years ago due to volleyball when i jumped and had my knee twisted when i landed. yet i haven't done anything to rehabilitate nor to apply any medications to heal my injury.

I have decided to join a volleyball class with my buds . It said we needed to bring KNee pads. Is there a special kind of knee pads I need to bring, or can I just bring like Knee pads for skateboarding/rollerblading etc. what kind of knee pads? Is there a specaial kind?
