My friend and I are 13 and are going into the eighth grade. She's 5'2" 1/2. She just went for a complete check up and the doctor told her she would only grow up to be 5 feet and 4 1/2 inches tall. She's really bummed because I'm taller than her and we both play sports (volleyball & others). Do u think 5'4" 1/2 is too short to play volleyball? Is it even THAT short at all? I'm going to be 5'8" and she's jealous of me!

Do guys watch volleyball games just because of the girls wearing the short shorts. I play volleyball and I just wanted to know. I won't think u are perverted. Just would like to know if i should feel self-conscious or not. Because some guys actually like girls volleyball.

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what athletic shoes to buy. Im looking for a good top quality shoe to improve my athletic ability. I am an avid athlete and need a pair of shoes for volleyball, track etc. I can only afford to buy 1 as i am only 15. I decided on nike free trainers 5.0. They are really light and will help me build me feet and legs. Is this a good idea? I know they are great for running and training, but will they be good for volleyball as theres alotta jumping and movement involved, Thank you.

I'm a shy, but very nice guy (about 5-9) in my early 20s and I've always found attractive (blue-eyed) blondes with a great personality who has big feet (like size 12+) that are taller than me and liked sports very sexy...do you know of anyone who fits that description that would want to date a guy like me????

P.S. If you are a GUY answering this, I WILL report you.

I've never played volleyball b4, so I really sucked @ tryouts 2day. I mostly just sat back and watched after I already looked like an idiot during 1 of the exercises. They pretty much let you on the team if u wanna play. I think the coach would let me, it's just that I'd probably only make jv and I'm already a sophomore so that would be really awkward. I have 2 go again 2morrow. I learned a lot 2day but there is still so much I don't know. Should I go ahead and play? All the other girls have years of experience and I've never played b4!!!!

I really love volleyball and want to get recruited by Stanford. I need a scholarship to go college, and if anything I would love it to be a volleyball scholarship. I am a sophomore, but I hope to be on Varsity this year. I know that they can't talk to you unless you are a senior, but I would like to know how to get their attention.

Freshman volleyball team tryouts are in two-three weeks. What should I do to get ready? I don't have access to a gym, but I do have access to a pool. Also, please keep in mind, average temperatures everyday outside are 101 degrees. I've played about a year of club volleyball. Any tips?

Ok I use to play volleyball in high school and was on the club national team. I received letter from several school asking me to come to there school to meet the team and the coach. I never acted on any of these so I was wondering what kind of scholarship do they give male volleyball players? It can't be much. The main schools I received letters from where Steven's Institute of Technology, Vassar, and University of Arizona.

I've never played before and I can be uncoordinated at times. I really wanna play. Tryouts are this Monday. What are the most important thing a coach looks for at tryouts? Any exercises I should do to get ready for them?

How high is a volleyball net? Also, how high do you think I need to be able to jump to block a ball? I'm about 5'3".
