im wanting to plan a 3week long hiking trip can anyone give me info on what to take and where to go how to have enouph water for the trip also any other activities to do on this trip

I went walking with a group of friends. We must have walked approx 6 miles. I had flat sensible shoes on and it was around the local area/streets. I came home with really sore feet/blisters on both feet, no-one else did. What did I do wrong?? Is there anything I can put on my skin to harden it up so I can walk further?? Is there anything that can help to heal blisters??

I want to buy a pistol in the next couple of months. I want a good concealed weapon, nock down power, and safety. I have been in the military for 3 years and know how to handle, clean, take apart, and not kill my self with one. what i dont know is which brand to buy. I wanted a springfield XD but friends say no its made in brazil, no its plastic yadda yadda. He tells me to get a glock. I like the glock 23. Looking for an alternative to the Orion Smoke Flares. I want to make my own smoke flare or smoke signal that I can use in emergencies when I go into the wilderness. I don't care what color the smoke is but would prefer a non-natural color like orange, green, or purple so if people see it they don't think it is a campfire. I know I can make smoke bombs out of salt peter and sugar but will this mixture create the amount of smoke that I am looking for? The main thing I am looking for is a good volume of smoke.

Hi Guys. If I have a chance to go skiing at Lake Loiuse or FERNIE BC, which would be the preferred choice?? I am not really into the crowds in Banff..but the best skiing is the ultimate goal. I HATE groomed trails. I like lots of powder and glades and that type of thing.
