I'd rather be hated for someone I am than someone i'm not, so if i'm hated cause i skateboard than whatever...lame if you ask me cause it's just skateboarding it isn't going to change the world or more importantly YOUR world cause thats what it seems is the real problem here you're thinking about yourself and not what your friend wants to do. Skateboarding isn't for everyone so let them try it who knows maybe they'll give up and quit so you can be happy again. Not sure what skateboard peed in your cherrios but don't judge us all the same cause that twatwaffle who peaved you off to hate skaters is probably just a poser anyways. PEACE

Don't let tunnel vision take control. Try and be open and supportive. Skateboarding is a hobby, a sport. Is isn't who a person is, but what he/she does. Your friend will still be the cool person that you like to hang out with. It will show what a good friend you are and who knows it may just be a phase. If it's not, who knows you may have a famous friend one day. But don't abandon a good friend because of only one small difference in hobbies.

Accept your friend for everything he/she is, as you would expect of them if YOU were doing something they absolutely hate. Stereotypes are just that.
If they're truly your friend, you shouldn't put conditions on friendship.
