I volunteer up at a horse rescue and I have fallen in love with this one horse Orion. He is a grey thoroughbred gelding, and when I first saw him, he nickered at me, and I instantly fell in love with him. He is very thin from being neglected, and had scratches on all his legs, but that has healed now. He has raced. I know this because I had checked to see if he had a tattoo. I happened to be the only person who he let mess with his mouth. I groom him every time I go up there, which was every day during the summer, and now on weekends during the school year. He gets very jealous if I take any other horse out. He and I have created a very strong bond. He won't be up for adoption until he gains weight, so I have time to save/make some money. I need to get my parents to let me get him- I can pay for the monthly bills. yes I have calculated it based on what the rescue pays per month. My parents would just have to pay purchase price. Less than $1200. Any advice on how to convince my parents?

Im learning horse riding.My trainer (pakistani) is mis behaving to me.
When I trying to mount on horse back he keeps hand under my butts as a helping gesture.
after mount, he inserts his fingers at my groin area as checking the saddle.
even though Im wearing tights, its irritating me much.
but he is good trainer and I'd like to know horse riding stuffs from him.

Im going to apply to the exercise rider program that is at Olds College in Alberta, anyways im starting to train so i can pass the fitness test..hahaha.any tips on what types of exercise routines u riders do?? i know upper weight lifting is popular...also about how much weight can u lift?? any tips would be great.

i was out riding today on a riding school horse but ended up instead of having a flat out gallop on the hill spending my time and energy in pulling his head from the floor i ended up putting my reigns in one hand yanking up his head and riding one handed was this the best thing to do or is there a better way
(i still got my gallop so im happy)
