My friend and playing partner always plays preferred lie after every shot ( except on the green ) This means he is always adjusting his shot and raising his ball up on the fairway and in the rough. Is this legal and correct. I have played "winter rules" before, but only when the course is in bad condition.

The last game I played, my partner sliced terribly and ended up on another green on another fariway. It wasn't OB but he removed his ball from the green and placed it on the side of the green and then played it back onto the correct green. How many stroke penalty should he have taken?

I just go a 5X20 golf distance scope - not a laser type. The etching inside reads from 50 yds to 200 yds. Are these pretty accurate?

of one. Thanks.

PS...I am really in need of finding my drive swing. The last time I played I couldn't keep my drives in the fairway. Today, at the range, I only hit low hook drives that didn't go very far. Its like I have totally lost my swing. I am a 16 handicapper so I do understand golf things fairly well--this situations just baffles me. Help if you can. THANKS.

The Funniest thing I witnessed was the a few years back when the group in front of mine was playing really slow so the Marshall was getteing on their case so they were rushing , the guy hits his ball into the water and drives the cart along the edge , instead of stopping the cart he drove slow and leaned out the left side looking for his ball , well the bonehead misjudged the shore and drove right in the pond it was hilarious !!!! the cart tipped on its side they both took a swim .
So let me hear some of your stories Best Answer 10 points !!!

I am getting a new set of irons.

I went to my local Golfsmith for two straight days to try everything out. I narrowed my choice to the new Taylormade r7 irons, and the new Cobra FP irons (both standard mens, 28 flat w/stock graphite shafts.

The r7's are really nice looking and have a great address position.

The Cobra's are nice, but don't look as good.

They are both considered game-improvement clubs, but the r7 is definately a little smaller and less forgiving.

The r7's have a buttery, soft feel when hit put. The Cobra's are also really soft but not as much as the r7's.

I like the Cobra's alignment aid with the ball shaped thing on the face to set up to the ball perfectly.

Since I've only been playing a little less than a year, the guy at Golfsmith said the r7's would be better because I am going to keep improving.

So guys, which ones should I choose?

Oh yeah, the r7's are $800 and the Cobra's $600.

I am looking to buy a good set of irons but I am torn between Ping G5Ls and TaylorMade r7s. Does anyone use either? I have tested the Ping G5Ls and liked them. I can't seem to find any store around here that has a set of Ladies r7s that I can try out.

Ive never see it on tv, but if two golfers are striking their approach shots to the green. The second golfers ball strikes the first golfers ball on the green before he has an oppertunity to mark it. Do both balls get played from where they eventially end up?

My husband is wondering how to become a head golf pro. I know you have to go to school but what kind of school. This has been a passion of my husbands for awhile now. I'm going back to school for a career change so what better time then now for him to go. I have looked through the search engines and have come up short. Maybe I don't know what to type in and search. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks

I'm right handed, and wear one on my left, but my right hand gets pretty beat up playing a round. Can you wear 2 gloves, or does that change something in my grip or my swing?
