Will he be unhappy when he's playing in front of empty stadiums in a country that's apathetic towards soccer?

Or will he still believe that he's helping grow a sport and that it would take a longer time than he originally thought?

I'm curious as to people's thoughts and opinions. I'm a damn big fan of the game and I've always hoped it would take off in this country as it has for, well, the rest of the damn world. Based on a lot of answers I've gotten on similar questions in the past, it seems like in this country, if it's not an American-made sport, it must be a game for *******; but maybe that's the more extreme end of it and the result of more extreme opinion givers. Could paying David what no athlete here in America earns annually let alone in world soccer be the solution? 50 million a year to kick a ball?Give me your thoughts and ideas.

Beckham is 32, in 5 years he’ll be 37. He has a 5 year 250 million dollar deal. How can they pay such an old athlete so much? I’m not an expert in soccer, but I know he’s not even that good of player. I would understand paying that much a younger player, who has a better record. He’s old, why pay him as much?

I see they are greeting Beckham with open arms in Los Angeles, don't they realise it is all about money. Real Madrid are getting rid of him, he's turned down other European football teams, British Premiership teams don't want him. The Americans will soon realise that is all he wants is Hollywood and Advertising to make more money he's rubbish any way.

According to record, Galaxy's payroll is just under $2.8 million last year. Although the $50 million a year includes mostly outside endorsement and image right royalties, the base salary and guarantee salry from Galaxy has to be quite substantial as well.

Does anybody know what is the guarantee amount from Galaxy each year?

Millionaire club and had a chance to bring in whoever you wanted.

Who'd you pick for your starting 11 and 5 subs.

Mine would be:

GK: Kameni
RB: Cafu
LB: Sorin
CD: Grygera
CD: Anton Ferdinand
RM: Mendieta
LM: Sneijder
CM: Aruna Dindane
CDM: Mullins
CM: Senna
CF: Pauleta

Subs:
GK: Flahavan
CD: Heitinga
CM: Galasek
CF: Eastwood
CF: Zamora

Captain: Cafu
Set Pieces: Mendieta

I will let the Best Answer be choosen by vote, as it's a bit unfair for me to pick a best 16, when I think mine is.
