Do you think there is a possibility that, between now and the end of the spanish season, a spanish league player could intentionally injure Beckham just to scupper his high profile move to LA?

I dont think any proffesional would do this but you never know, if someone is jealous that a past his prime Beckham will go on to earn in a week about what they might in a year . . . . your thoughts please.

Sevilla is #1,
FC Internazionale Milano is #2
FC Barcelona is #4,
and CHIVAS is #24.
I was looking for America's ranking in FIFA's list but i couldn't find it. I guess they aren't good enough to be in the top 100 teams. I'm just wondering how low they are in FIFA's world ranking if you know tell me........it just feels so good to look down at the rest of the the mexican teams and to be above those azulcrema bastards

ARRIBA LAS CHIVAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok Beckham has been contracted by the L.A Galaxy for 5 years, fo 250 million dollars!
personally i think it is worth it, because Beckham is not only one of the top players at this moment, but in my opinion he is the representation of soccer ( i am reffering to the fact that he is the good image, commercials and all.) what do u think?

There is no selection to ask questions on Welsh Football. It`s all English, Scottish, German etc. I think there should be a Welsh Football selection so others from around the world can learn about our sides.

Although Gretzkey means more to hockey than Beckham means to soccer. Beckhams goal is simlar to Gretzkys was. Gretzky made hockey a house hold sport in the USA when he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings and awed the people in California with his talent. Although soccer nor hockey will never surpass the other 3 sports in the USA. Ice hockey atleast has a pretty healthy fanbase in the USA. My hometown team the Carolina Hurrincanes won the Stanley cup last year and i was happy for them. But for Becks I think he wont be making soccer a mainstream sport. For that you need Ronaldinho not Becks. Wrong guy LA Galaxy. The LA Galaxy will never surpass the LA Lakers when it comes up to fanbase never. Therefore I dont think you can compare Gretzkey to Beckham cause Gretzky means much more.

i love soccer...it is something that was taught to me by my dad...and i consider it a cultural thing. I love to what teams from all over the world, like Real Madrid, River Plate, Boca Juniors, Manchester United, AC Milan. But when i watch them play and then i watch an MLS game i can't help o think that the MLS even knows how to play the sport.

I play soccer and I am getting whooped by strikers on defense. I need help in the following areas. Tips, advice and even web sites that reference techniques will be greatly appreciated.

How do I play the most effective/efficient defense in the following scenarios:

1. Covering a right footed striker heading towards the goal on the left side of the field? right side of the field?

2. When the attack out numbers me, two strikers on a two on one, how do I commit.

3. How do I cover a player stalling, dribbling in order to stall the game or withold possession from our team as if they are trying to rest? tips on stealing a ball when the defender's back is facing me.

4. When there is a faster, right footed striker heading towards the goal and I'm the last line of defense in the final 30 yards or so, how do I cover? do I stay on his outside or inside as he is approaching me.
