I think Udinese are extremely determined and might manage a draw, but with Iaquinta out for 3 weeks they'll have to work even harder to keep up with the powerhouse. I still think that Di Natale poses a threat, though. Your opinions?

Some players like Thierry Henry and Ryan Giggs take free kicks quickly and score. The opposing team may protest vehemently, but the goal still stands. So what exactly does the rule book say? Is it up to the referee's discretion? Does he have to blow his whistle? Why do some referees insist that the kick can not be taken quickly?
I have not read one report on the Lille - Man Utd game that mentioned the rules. Can anyone help?
