People here just don't like the sport. He will arrive with a lot of hype.

They will automatically assume he's some amazing goal scorer and when goals don't magically appear, American fans will be turned off, again, by a sport they consider boring and slow.

Supposedly it's the Champions League, but Liverpool won the Champions League a couple of years ago with a side that never looked like challenging for the league. Is luck a bigger factor in the CL? What do you think?

Would you not have thought he would have been better going to someone like Tottenham or Newcastle or some other reasonable club in England to fight for his place back in the England Squad, rather than sign for a second rate club like LA Galaxy. No disrespect for LA Galaxy, but they are hardly one of the worlds most prestige clubs, and one man is not going to change that.
I for one, and listening to the lads in the office think its a wasted chance to fight for his England spot. Your opinions please?

Yeah, ok they'll probably win the second leg..but just how embarrasing is this for Chelski? Wycombe's players together aren't worth as much as one Chelsea substitute, but they brought them down to Eath last night.

I know he doesn't like me, but I still think he didn't deserve his account being suspended!!

Will he have to make some sacrifices. It seems his name has gone down recently and soccer players don't earn big bucks in the US because it's not a popular sport

The answer is simple unless you lie and say that Scottish Football is in excellent health and that the Scottish Leagues are of a great standard, the petty people give you a negative mark.

Wise up!! Scottish Football is a laughing stock, and now without your saviour I doubt very much you will qualify.

Also there is absolutely no way that any League that boasts Barry Ferguson and Shaun Maloney as 2 of its' best players would be a showcase in anybody's book!!
