Believe me when I say this, that there is absolutely no way that Rafa is leaving Liverpool until at least the summer.
One of my relatives is highly involved in LFC and I know this for definite.
Also Liverpool never offer a knee jerk reaction and Houllier was the first manager to be sacked by Liverpool since Phil Taylor was sacked in November 1959 making way for the late great Bill Shankly. Therefore expect at least another six months of Rafa, maybe when the Shaikhs take over they will not want him there anymore but we wil see

We were talkin abt it with my m8 yesterday!
I think Rafa is an outstanding manager. He knows his job but his game is not exactly suited to the EPL.
He showed it with the 'zonal marking' n 98 different line up on the trot.
shud the take over happen he will b under pressure to perform. With the amount of players he has brought he shud b competeting for at least 3rd place without much competition. even competetting for 2nd place.
but this hasnt been the case. Arsenal, Pompey n LFC seem to be going for 3rd place. With AFC's budget this shudt b the case. Same with Pompey's above average players.
Rafa bought in some excellent guys: Alonso, Garcia, Kuyt etc... the likes of Crouch, Finnan n Pennant are good bt not exactly LFC class.
LFC shud have been competeting for potentialy world class players or proven world class players, instead they are being linked to complete unknowns who are not exactly raising the game.
If i was an LFC fan i would start questioning his decision. I think at most he should be given till end of next season.
I doubt any takeover will give him that long tho.
As a Man Utd fan, i did expect better. the line up for both teams in the Carling cup showed that.
LFC shud have been clear winners.
and now they r talking of yet another on loan keeper....
Some people will talk of past glories n rightly so. But so did we with Houllier! I simple don't want LFC to b in the same position in 2 years time, constantly building the team but never realy going anywher.

Have the Liverpool fans gotten tired of Arsenal's "No Cup for You" routine they are putting on against Liverpool. I hope the Gunners get to play them in a later round of the champions league so we can complete cup ejection sweep.

as has been stated liverpool will not sack him on a whim, they will give him a chance, and for me thats fine. they are 3rd in the league only 14pts behind the mighty united which is about right.

You'll know when he's about to be sacked. The board will declare they have every confidence in him.
