I cant for the life of me understand why Newcastle United fans see their club as a "big" side.
They are a good team, but they are a mid-table team at best. Unless they get a billionaire as their chairman, they AWAYS will be just a mediocre club as well.
Just becuase the team is in a large city & in one of the major cities of the North, it doesn't mean they should automatically have a "big" club. The mentality itself is just ridiculous.
They haven't won anything in over 30 years now, their stadium isn't even UEFA rated, and they aren't even part of the G14.
It makes me laugh when the NUFC fans start whingeing like idiots when their club loses to other mediocre sides like Aston Villa with an unjustified arrogance, which for some strange reason makes them "assume" they should be wiping the floor with such "lesser" opposition, even though they have a completely unconvincing club history record..
It's why i don't like NUFC - the deluded arrogance.
